I am a PhD student at Division of Environment and Sustainability at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Currently, my research tries to understand the effects of trade liberalization on environment, the cost and benefit of regulation, the health impacts from polluting activities, and the political economy in policy enforcement, with a regional focus on China. My research works have been published on Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and Nature Sustainability.

I am an economics PhD candidate at the University of Chicago. I am a researcher of empirical macroeconomics and international trade. I use detailed microdata to study the impact of history-defining events such as trade shock from China, trade war, and Covid-19.

Bérengère Patault

I am a PhD student at Crest/Ecole Polytechnique, and will be going on the Job Market in the Fall 2020. My research interests include Labor Economics and International Trade, with a special focus on firms' growth and labor demand. In my Job Market Paper, I study the role of salesmen's networks on the ability for firms to expand their buyers' portfolio.

Frank Pisch is an empirical economist working in the fields of international trade, organizational economics, and environmental economics. He obtained his PhD from the London School of Economics in 2017 and is currently an assistant professor at the University of St. Gallen.

Prashant Poddar

Prashant Poddar is a graduate student in Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. His field of concentration is development economics with a focus on issues related to gender, education and religion. He has previously interned with United Nations and Government of India to get a better understanding of challenges persisting in this domain. Prashant's work has been selected for presentation at various conferences including AASLE (2019), ACEGD (2019) and AGEW (2020).

Christian Proebsting

I am a scientific collaborator at EPFL in Lausanne. I received my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Michigan in 2016. Prior to starting the Ph.D., I received a Diploma in International Economics from the University of Tuebingen in Germany. My research interests lie in the area of International Finance and mainly focus on the effects of fiscal, monetary and labor market policy in integrated economies. An additional line of research covers mergers and acquisitions in emerging countries.
