Stefano Falcone

I am interested in politics since the end of high school. After my Master’s in Political Sciences, I pursued my studies in Economics at the University of Siena. I am currently enrolled in the PhD program in Economics at ECARES, Université libre de Bruxelles, where I am acquiring the technical knowledge necessary to answer questions in political economy and development using microdata and quasi-experimental tools. My research in the PhD program at ECARES addresses questions on conflict from three perspectives: conflict over land, labor and housing. My research agenda for the future lies at the intersection of development economics and political economy with a focus on collective action in political mobilization and the externalities of property rights.

Min Fang

University of Rochester

Min Fang, also known as Ethan, is a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at University of Rochester (on Job Market 20/21). Min is broadly interested in macroeconomics and urban economics including monetary policy, macro-finance, firm dynamics, inequality, migration, and land policy. His works follow the principle of “Micro Fraction for Macro Fluctuations” which evaluates the effect of economic policy combing heterogeneous agent general equilibrium models and rich microdata.

Antoine Ferey

CREST, Ecole Polytechnique

Antoine Ferey is a PhD candidate in Economics at CREST, Ecole Polytechnique who will be on the 2020 / 2021 Job Market. His research in public economics focuses on the design of tax and transfer systems with a particular interest for the topic of tax complexity. His job market paper studies optimal redistributive taxation and unemployment insurance. It shows that redistribution and insurance problems interact and that these interactions hold important and unexplored policy implications.

Etienne Fize

CAE - Sciences Po Paris

Etienne Fize is an economist at the French Council of Economic Analysis (CAE) since Septembre 2018. He defended his PhD thesis in June 2019 at Sciences Po Paris under the supervision of Emeric Henry and Julia Cagé. His research interests focus on Political Economy, International Trade, Media Economics and Economic History.

Felix Forster

University of Warwick

I am a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Warwick. My research interests lie at the intersection of development economics and industrial organization. I currently study the automobile sector in Uganda and market concentration in the context of trade liberalization in Myanmar. Prior to starting my PhD, I worked for five years as a professional economist in the antitrust and competition practice of an international economic consultancy.

Riccardo Franceschin

Bocconi University

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Bocconi University, Milan, under the supervision of prof. Antonella Trigari and I will be available in the next European Job-Market. My research interests are in Labour Economics and Macroeconomics. More specifically search and matching, heterogeneous agents models and recruitment strategies. I did a visiting period in 2019 at UCL under the supervision of prof. Fabien Postel-Vinay and Morten Ravn.

Jan Philipp Fritsche

Humbolt Universität zu Berlin

Jan Philipp Fritsche is a research associate at DIW. His research concentrates on applied macroeconomics and financial economics. He is part of the research group on “Macroeconomic fundamentals and asset prices – state dependence and implications for the conduct of monetary policy”. Moreover, he conducts research on monetary policy, money and swap markets, systemic risk & uncertainty, and fiscal policy. He wrote policy publications on the euro as a common currency, the ECBs toolbox, helicopter money, the Basel III regulatory framework, the negative income tax and policy responses to the corona pandemic.
