Astrid Volckaert

After obtaining Master degrees in biomedical sciences and environmental technology, I worked for 12 years for the European ceramic trade organization, where I was mainly responsible for the environmental and innovation policies. I also managed the European and World Refractories Association. Since 2017 I am pursuing a PhD in Economics at the KU Leuven University. My main interests are in industrial organization, clusters, granularity, business dynamism and industrial competitiveness.
