Joana Silva
Catholic University Lisbon and World BankJoana Silva is an Associate Professor at CATÓLICA-LISBON. She has expertise in applied microeconomics, with particular focus on development, labor markets, international trade, and policy evaluation. Her research has been published in leading academic journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, Review of International Economics. She has over twelve years of experience in empirical work on policy-relevant questions. She spent most of her career at the World Bank, where her research agenda focused on (i) inequality, (ii) the impact of economic policies on employment; (iii) international trade and firm performance; and (iv) adjustment to economic slowdowns and crises
