Juuso Vanhala
Bank of FinlandJuuso Vanhala works as a Senior Advisor at the Monetary Policy and Research Department at the Bank of Finland. His research interests include firm growth and productivity dynamics using firm level data, search and matching models of the labour market and labor market and policy analysis using DSGE models embedding search frictions. His current responsibilities at the Bank of Finland include forecasting and monitoring the Finnish economy and the analysis of firm dynamics and labour markets from a macroeconomic perspective. He joined the Bank of Finland in 2006. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Helsinki and University College London (UCL) and received his doctoral degree in economics in 2007. Before his current position at the Forecasting Division of Monetary Policy and Research Department at the Bank of Finland, he has worked as a Senior Research Economist at the Bank of Finland Research Unit, as an economist at the Monetary Policy and Research Department/Office for Monitoring (World Economy Team), as well as a researcher at the Department of Economics at the University of Helsinki. He is former chairman of the Finnish Economic Association.
