Vivien Lewis
BundesbankI am an Economist at Deutsche Bundesbank. I joined the Bundesbank Research Centre in July 2018 from KU Leuven (Belgium), where I was assistant professor. My research interests are in macroeconomics and business cycle analysis. More specifically, I work on labour economics; monetary, fiscal and macroprudential policy; firm dynamics and international macroeconomics. I was awarded a PhD in Economics from KU Leuven in 2008, an M.Sc. in Public Financial Policy from the London School of Economics (UK) in 2002 and a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Warwick (UK) in 2000.
Wenliang Li
PSL Research UniversityWenliang Li is a PhD student from PSL Research University, France. Her research focuses on China’s productivity growth and economic asymmetries. The thesis she is preparing aims to investigate the role of structural change, regional specialization and urbanization on determining China’s development path.
She received her master’s degree in Economics from PSL, France and her bachelor’s degree in both Economics and French Literature from Peking University, China. She speaks English, French and Chinese. Xiang Li
Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH)Xiang Li is an assistant professor at Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) and Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). She is also a guest research fellow at the Institute of Digital Finance of Peking University. She received PhD in Economics from the National School of Development at Peking University in June 2018. She was a part-time economist at the IMF office in China in 2017-2018 and a visiting research fellow at the University of Minnesota in 2016-2017. Xiang’s research fields include international finance, empirical banking and development economics. In particular, she is interested in the effects of capital account liberalization and other financial reforms.

Kevin Lim
University of TorontoKevin Lim is an international trade economist at the University of Toronto. His current research projects focus on two areas. The first examines the determinants and implications of firm-to-firm trade in production networks. The second studies the causes and consequences of trade dynamics in China. Before joining the University of Toronto, Kevin was awarded the International Economics Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Dartmouth College in 2017 and completed his PhD at Princeton University in 2016.

Noëmie Lisack

My main research focuses on macroeconomics and international macroeconomics, with a strong interest in financial intermediation, firm behaviour, heterogeneous agents models as well as in international trade. I obtained my PhD in Economics at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) in 2016.
Chuan Liu

He completed a Bachelor's degree at Xiamen University in China and a Master's degree at Goethe University Frankfurt. During his studies, he worked as an intern at the Digital Economy Research Department of ZEW in Mannheim. Before joining Ruhr University, he worked at DMH Deutsche Mittelstandsholding in Frankfurt. His research interests are structural change and global value chains.
