Marie-Theres von Schickfus
ifo InstituteMarie is an environmental economist pursuing her PhD at LMU Munich. Based at the ifo Institute for Economic Research, she is a team member of the Center for Energy, Climate and Resources. In research and consultancy projects, she has been working on the impacts of climate policies on regional economies, carbon leakage, and the interaction of climate policy and financial markets.
Shu Yu
World BankShu Yu is an Economist with the Prospects Group of the World Bank. Her main research interests are in areas of international economics, development economics, and political economy. Prior to joining the World Bank, Shu held a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester and worked at the IMF and the Conference Board. She received her PhD in economics from the University of Groningen in 2014. Her recent papers include work on the impact of national leaders on political stability and long-run growth, measuring the informal economy and its business cyles, China’s outward direct investment, and the impact of institutional quality on trade.
