I am a postdoc at the Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI) at the University of Copenhagen. I completed my PhD in Economics at the Free University Berlin and DIW Berlin Graduate Center. My research focuses on empirical labor, public and health economics and policy evaluation.

Iulia Siedschlag is Associate Research Professor at the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Economics, Trinity College Dublin. Professor Siedschlag leads the ESRI’s Research Programme on Competitiveness, Trade and FDI. She has published widely in peer reviewed international journals and books, especially on international trade, foreign direct investment, innovation, productivity and economic growth in advanced and emerging economies.

I am a PhD candidate at the Paris School of Economics working under the direction of professor Eric Maurin. My research focuses on labour economics, migration and technological change, and I am affiliated to the PSE Labour Chair. From September 2019 to April 2020 I visited the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the London School of Economics. Prior to joining PSE, I worked for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and for the World Bank.

Joana Silva

Joana Silva is an Associate Professor at CATÓLICA-LISBON. She has expertise in applied microeconomics, with particular focus on development, labor markets, international trade, and policy evaluation. Her research has been published in leading academic journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, Review of International Economics. She has over twelve years of experience in empirical work on policy-relevant questions. She spent most of her career at the World Bank, where her research agenda focused on (i) inequality, (ii) the impact of economic policies on employment; (iii) international trade and firm performance; and (iv) adjustment to economic slowdowns and crises

Jiri Slacalek

Jiri Slacalek is an economist at the European Central Bank. His research includes work on consumption, inequality, monetary policy, and household finance. His papers appeared in academic journals, such as the AEJ Macroeconomics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Quantitative Economics and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. He is Secretary of the Household Finance and Consumption Network. He holds an MA from Charles University, Prague and a PhD from the Johns Hopkins University.

Ctirad Slavík is an Assistant Professor at CERGE-EI (under US permanent charter) since September 2016. He is also an Assistant Professor at CERGE, Charles University (previously a Researcher from January till August 2016). He worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Money and Macroeconomics, Goethe University Frankfurt from 2010 till 2016. He was a Research Analyst, at the Research Department, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, USA (2007–2010). He received his M.A. in Economics, Charles University, Prague (2003), M.A. in Economics, CERGE-EI, New York (2005), Ph.D. in Economics, University of Minnesota (2010).
